Does it require more or less effort to push a loaded wheelbarrow over hard level ground than to turn around and pull it? What about when the ground is soft? Surely the clear lens would let the light through rather than casting a shadow? At constant velocity, is this a real effect? If so, wouldn’t it be felt on any “moving” surface you walk on, such as a train or plane — or even Earth? Continued 31 January Pollution resolution If I replace my old diesel car with a less polluting new petrol one, how long will it take for the reduced pollution of the new car to outweigh the increased pollution caused by the manufacture of the new car and the disposal of the old, assuming average usage? It seems such a waste of energy. I read that a supermarket won an award for its two-year-matured puddings. So, what happens over two years to bring out the flavour? Where I live, I use five different bins and the collections are fortnightly.
[HotS] The Hero League Dilemma
Matchmaking is the existing automated process in League of Legends that matches a player to and against other players in games. Contents [ show ] Details The system estimates how good a player is based on whom the player beats and to whom the player loses. It knows pre-made teams are an advantage, so it gives pre-made teams tougher opponents than if each player had queued alone or other premades of a similar total skill level Riot Games Inc.
The basic concept is that the system over time understands how strong of a player you are, and attempts to place you in games with people of the same strength.
Hero League matchmaking has been busted since Tracer patch (ofthestorm) submitted 2 years ago by [deleted] Ever since Tracer patch I’ve had terribly mismatched games, every single game has had 2+ players with significantly lower MMR than some of my teammates and I, and in most games it’s me with 4 other people who have like + less MMR than me and several games with rank 3’s .
On Value Earlier today, I had the privilege of catching chu8 win a game in Korean Grandmaster with a fabled 5-Specialist team composition: Azmodan, Medivh, Abathur, Xul, Nazeebo, vs a relatively stable, traditional, “meta” team composition. He even expresses delight at the end of the game, saying that the game was pretty damn fun. The common answer to this will be “just because a weird teamcomp wins a game once doesn’t mean it’s good”, “their chances of winning would be much higher if they were in a traditional comp instead”, among other things defending the notion that traditional one-healer double-frontline teamcomps should be absolutely enforced in Hero League and Quickmatch.
Personally, I was unsurprised by the outcome of this game and chu8 himself has expressed similar opinions that triple specialist team comps often have decent value and are able to win Hero League games fairly regularly; that is to say, they really can’t be considered bad teamcomps in the sense of winrate. Hopefully, after we go through some of the reasonings a bit, a reasonable number of readers will come around to this.
Central Problems of Hero League In order to examine what makes a good Hero League team composition, first we should explore the common problems that occur in HL games, or in other words, things that we think to ourselves when games aren’t going our way. The enemy team’s healthbars just don’t seem to be going down.

We finally got a new support and she comes with a hard to play tag and a very interesting energy mechanic. There are still many ares that I need to explore before bringing you a detailed build guide but for now initial impressions are good Who is Auriel? Auriel is the Archangel of Hope and a member of the Angiris Council. The most beloved of all angels, it is she who leads the sweet chorus of the High Heavens.
Auriel is said to be the most lighthearted member of the Angiris Council. It is through her that hope flows through the fabric of Creation, and her eternal light illuminates even the darkest of souls.
It will highlight the changes developers are planning to implement as well as discuss some topics that have been bothering the community for a while now, like patches, hero release rates and matchmaking .

We hear a lot of voices in the HotS community being for or against the Hero League changes. What are your thoughts about the fact, Hero League is only solo queue now? Mene: Having it be only solo queue is better than duo queue, but the matchmaking is still super bad.
It came out late enough people were already invested in its competitors, often to point of hundreds of dollars. Its quick match matchmaker is a garbage fire on a train wreck in a hurricane of shit. It is the only game I have ever seen where 5 supports will be teamed together to face off vs a balanced team.
Blizz desperation to keep people from waiting for more then 2 min for a game has resulted in a huge volume of matches you simply cannot win through no fault of your own, which is a cardinal sin in competitive games even casually. It will probably keep trucking along for a long time yet. I honestly expect it to do better as time goes along wile Dota and LoL continue to stack esoteric minutia in their games. In order to play LoL or Dota effectively you need to know what every item does, how those items work together, how those collected items work on every hero, what every hero can and can’t do, what heroes work in synergy, which don’t, which counter, how to counter a hero who counters your hero, how to counter a hero who counters your hero who counters your hero Hots lower level of complexity is kind of a selling point to a lot of people.
Hots has carved out its ‘Little” niche and will truck along just fine. I saw the exact same complaints when LoL was coming out of Beta and we all saw how that turned out.

Apr 4, 4 To start with. I’ve played this game for about two or three years now and I must admit that I kind of liked it In the beginning. At this time beginning of League of Legends is one of the most popular online games. It has millions of players all over the world, and it just seems to be more and more popular. However, in entirety, this game is not that awesome as everyone thinks,To start with.
However, in entirety, this game is not that awesome as everyone thinks, and I guess many of the players know this, but dont admit it. Either it was a teammate who did wrong or it was because of lag. The game itself is great, but you might get tierd because of the players playing it, being so rude. It’s not like any other DOTA-based game. You get what I mean? Well the feeling is far from what DoTA was. Not in a bad way though. You have the same map, you do the same thing, but it’s still not an exact DoTA-clone.
What are the differences?
Breaking down the big Heroes of the Storm update: HotS 2.0
I can no longer bring myself to play Heroes of the storm unless i play in normal. In hero league, the match making is terrible. Try it and you will see. I thought LOL in bronze was the worse place to be in? Dota 2 in the other hand got the best matchmaking ever. It match making system is fine.
Rewards for playing ranked in League of legends have always consisted from champion skins, wards skins and profile borders. Champion and ward skins have always been exclusive to that one lol season. What this means is that there is no other way to obtain that particular skin other than achieving a rank of at least Gold on ranked matchmaking.
As far as I know Hots also uses Elo for matchmaking like pretty much all multiplayer games nowadays , so there can’t really be a big difference. I can only talk about my personal experience, but player behavior was what made me stop playing Hots. While it was ok as long as I was still a newbie it became really horrible later on with massive flame in literally! Maybe Blizzard is more successful fighting this problem nowadays, I don’t know, but back when I played Hots it was way more toxic than LoL.
What I liked about Hots is the ammunition system for towers. Even today I sometimes catch myself being happy about a tower wasting ammo on voidlings or Heimer turrets I think the main difference between LoL and Hots is the different focus.
