The game itself is great, but you might get tierd because of the players playing it, being so rude. It’s not like any other DOTA-based game. You get what I mean? Well the feeling is far from what DoTA was. Not in a bad way though. You have the same map, you do the same thing, but it’s still not an exact DoTA-clone.

I can no longer bring myself to play Heroes of the storm unless i play in normal. In hero league, the match making is terrible. Try it and you will see. I thought LOL in bronze was the worse place to be in? Dota 2 in the other hand got the best matchmaking ever. It match making system is fine.

Rewards for playing ranked in League of legends have always consisted from champion skins, wards skins and profile borders. Champion and ward skins have always been exclusive to that one lol season. What this means is that there is no other way to obtain that particular skin other than achieving a rank of at least Gold on ranked matchmaking.

As far as I know Hots also uses Elo for matchmaking like pretty much all multiplayer games nowadays , so there can’t really be a big difference. I can only talk about my personal experience, but player behavior was what made me stop playing Hots. While it was ok as long as I was still a newbie it became really horrible later on with massive flame in literally! Maybe Blizzard is more successful fighting this problem nowadays, I don’t know, but back when I played Hots it was way more toxic than LoL.

What I liked about Hots is the ammunition system for towers. Even today I sometimes catch myself being happy about a tower wasting ammo on voidlings or Heimer turrets I think the main difference between LoL and Hots is the different focus.
